Concept - Philosophy
TRIMORE Sport Events, in its continuous effort to search and discover ways to attract young people to sport, creating opportunities for friends and families to live together beautiful sports and recreational experiences in an outdoor environment (nature), in special areas/locations, created the JEEP RunBike (Run With Bike Support) which will be held at The Ellinikon Experience Park.
This is a multisport, meaning it consists of more than one sport (in this case Running and Cycling) and the time spent switching between sports is time that counts towards the final athlete/couple/team time.
Two athletes, competing together as a pair. At any given time, one of them is running and the other is resting, cycling next to or behind his/her teammate. They can alternate on the bike as often as they wish to achieve the best result. In the case of a parent and child (where one's bike is unsuitable for the other), there is a special transition zone next to the start.
Athletes should finish the distance together, counting the second's time as the pair's performance.
The sport of JEEP RunBike contributes to:
- Cooperation of two athletes
- Development of strategic thinking
- Bonding of family - company - friendship
- Fun for all
- Outdoor sports
- Active participation in innovative ideas
- Inspiring and motivating young people in sport
The initiative to create this event was taken by TRIMORE Sport Events and will take place at Athens' favourite urban park, The Ellinikon Experience Park, located at the former Athens International Airport.

RunBike race details:
The entire event is to take place within the facilities of The Ellinikon Experience Park, in a highly protected and charming environment for both adults and (especially) children. For the needs of the JEEP RunBike race, a changeover area (Transition Zone) will be created, where all the bikes will be placed before the start of the first race and where non-athletes and the athletes of the following races will not have access. According to the schedule, the transition zone will be closed after all the bikes have been placed in their positions. For each start, the athletes (the pairs) will arrive and after picking up their bikes, they will come to the start.
The start is preceded by a short description and explanation of the race brief.
Both athletes of each pair will place on their left foot (so as not to interfere with the movement of the bike's chain disc) the timing chip, which they will receive from the secretariat when they arrive at the Athletes Village.
The route that will be followed during the race, is defined and capably marked to avoid any confusion, but a team of Play Makers (Volunteers) wearing yellow fluorescent Vest, will contribute to the safety and guidance of young and old athletes.
Athletes of all categories except parent-child, can change to the bike whenever and as often as they wish (at least once in a cycle), making sure that the change is made at a point on the route and in a way that preserves the safety of themselves and passing athletes. Athletes in the parent-child category must change once, before starting the second lap, within the transition zone, in front of the position where one bike is
